For taxi drivers: peace of mind on the night shift

Set a time when your shift starts, and hold SOS for 3 seconds the moment you don't feel safe. If nobody hears from you, the people you chose get an alert with your last location.

Why a safety net during a shift?

A taxi driver on a night shift drives alone with strangers and at quiet stands. When something goes wrong, asking for help by phone is not always possible, and an onlooker may not notice.

LifeCheck Mobility makes sure a family member or colleague knows even if you cannot act: when the time is up or when you hold SOS, an alert goes out.

How to use it on a shift

  1. At the start of the shift: pick the "Taxi / Courier" mode and set a time for the shift (for example 12 hours).
  2. During the shift: the app reminds you before time runs out; tap I'm safe to reset or +30 min to extend.
  3. If something happens: hold SOS for 3 seconds. Your contacts are alerted at once with your last location and battery.

Frequently asked questions

Will a passenger know about the alert?›

The alert goes only to the emergency contacts you chose who installed the app. A passenger does not see these notifications.

Can SOS be sent by accident?›

SOS needs a 3-second hold; an accidental tap does not send it.

Do my contacts have to install the app?›

Yes. Alerts are not sent by SMS or WhatsApp; they go as in-app notifications to people who installed the app.

Does it call 112?›

No, LifeCheck is not an emergency service. In a life-threatening situation call emergency services first.
